Jazmin Ghent
She is an award-winning international jazz saxophonist and educator. Over her brief career, she has become a decorated leader for the new generation of jazz, R&B, and gospel. Jazmin’s start in the jazz industry was the Show Your Talent competition aboard the Smooth Jazz Cruise (2014).
In 2019 she received the prestigious NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Jazz
Album for her third studio album, “The Story of Jazz”. She was subsequently nominated for the award again in 2022 for her fourth album, “Forever Jaz”. In 2019, Jazmin was nominated for Smooth Jazz Network’s Best Artist of the Year and was voted 2017’s Best New Smooth Jazz Artist.
Jazmin has 6 top 5 Billboard singles, including Kickin’ It Up, Stride, Amends, Work Wit It, Heat and Compared to What. The songs remained on the Billboard Smooth Jazz Airplay Chart for 20+ weeks and received heavy rotation on major jazz stations including Sirius XM Watercolors
